Two new events revealed for CrossFit Games 2026

18 July 2026, 15:10 (7 days ago) · BurpeeTalk News editorial

CrossFit continues to lift the veil on the CrossFit Games 2026 programme. With the announcement of two new individual events, fans and athletes now have a clearer picture of what lies ahead.

One of the new events is a 500 metre run along Barack Obama Boulevard, just outside the SAP Center in San José. The course is reminiscent of the 550 metre sprint that featured on the programme at the 2021 Games.

The second event is a Speed Snatch Triple, in which athletes must complete three snatches as quickly as possible. Speed-based strength movements like this are always crowd favourites and put athletes' explosiveness to the test.

With seven individual events now confirmed, the overall picture of the 2026 Games is slowly starting to take shape. CrossFit is deliberately drip-feeding its announcements, building anticipation steadily among fans and athletes alike.
